JOHREI...
is a Japanese word (Joh + Rei) Johrei, like Reiki, is a Universal energy, though the 2 are different vibrations. Mikao Usui, the founder of what has come to be called Usui Reiki Ryoho ("Usui Reiki Healing Method"), passed on to the spirit world in March of 1926, and in December a man named Mokichi Okada began receiving a flood of spiritual revelations. In the 1930s he founded the Japan Kannon Society and began working with the energy we call Johrei. According to the late Mrs. Kimiko Koyama, a past president of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai ("Usui Reiki Healing Method Society"), Mr. Okada had been a student of Usui - and, as Usui did with Reiki, Okada used Johrei for healing self and others. The purifying nature of Johrei seems to make it uniquely suited for our current point in history, as we turn from the Piscean Age to the Aquarian (from the Age of Darkness to the Age of Light, as Okada described it). The Izunome symbol is the property of Johrei Fellowship, used by permission. |
REIKI...
(Rei + Ki) means "spirit energy" The Japanese long ago distinguished a hierarchy of 7 material energies in the human body, Reiki being the highest. As such, it not only coordinates and manages the 6 physical energies below it, but also acts as a bridge to spiritual Source energy, called Shinki. Reiki has the ability to bring this spiritual energy into the physical realm, harmonizing the vibrations of the greater Universe and the personal self, bringing enlightenment and healing on all levels - spiritual, emotional, mental & physical. What we now call Usui Reiki Ryoho ("Usui Reiki Healing Method") was developed in Japan in the early 1900s, by a man named Mikao Usui. His great gift to us was a simple, effortless way of awakening to the Divine connection within us. Once activated, it provides healing of ourselves and others, increased feelings of ease and security, greater intuition and creativity. Reiki empowers every aspect of our lives. |
